There were some live chats between people, but I'd say by and large, it was more about sending e-mails (which were usually local to the BBS, not like e-mail today) or leaving messages on message boards. ![]() I haven't actually connected to any in a while, but this site has a list of some you can try: īBSes would usually support about 4 callers at a time, so there was a lot of leaving messages and waiting for the next day to get a response. If you're a retro gamer at all, you definitely need to check them out. ![]() I wonder, back when they were run from phone lines, was it possible for multiple people to connect to one at the same time, or did they have to wait and take turns? Also, what exactly is a "door" game?
